Confab Windows

With Confab Windows, HATCH Gallery presents a duo exhibition featuring Olivia Bax and Veronika Hilger ; two artists who engaged in a sustained dialogue throughout 2023 around their artistic practices. One is a sculptor, the other a painter, and by working alongside they discovered numerous shared interests, including a determined and vigorous use of color. A series of visual elements, including still and animated images, was specially created to convey the artistic conversation between these two women. The aim was to highlight their shared desire to explore liminal spaces that connect the interior and exterior, the objective and the subjective. A way to convey the concept of dialogue and openness from the very first visual encounter, and to create an evocative design that invites the viewer to wander and introspect, just as they would during the exhibition.
